Ok, let us discuss some of the basics of making glass aquariums. Aquariums come in all sizes and shapes. Even though acrylic is getting popular these days glass is still the favorite material for most DIY aquariums. We will first concentrate on glass aquariums first and may be later look at acrylic.
The most common glass aquarium shapes are rectangles and cubes. These are easy to make with very little effort. So what do we need to make an all glass aquarium????
1. Glass cut to size (polished to avoid nasty cuts)
2. Silicone tube(s)
3. Silicone application gun.
4. Duct tape
5. Few coins or strands of thread.
6. A friend to help
